How RevealSprint works

RevealSprint is online Planning Poker, kept simple. Here is what you need to run an estimation session, from creating a room to reaching consensus.

  1. 1

    Create or join a room

The host creates a room and shares the link or code with the team. Anyone can join instantly from their browser.

  2. 2

    Pick the story to estimate

The host sets the current ticket β€” title and acceptance criteria β€” so everyone estimates the same thing.

  3. 3

    Vote and reveal together

Each member picks a card. When everyone has voted, the host reveals all cards at once and the stats appear.

  4. 4

    Discuss and reach consensus

If estimates diverge, discuss the outliers and re-vote. When you agree, move on to the next ticket.

The host facilitates the session

Whoever creates the room becomes the host. The host sets the ticket, reveals the cards and resets for the next round. To stay neutral, the host does not vote and is left out of the statistics, which fits a Scrum Master or facilitator.

Private by design

Sessions run peer-to-peer directly between browsers over WebRTC. Public relays are only used so participants can find each other; after that, your votes travel directly between teammates. Nothing is stored on any server.
